MITAA celebrated the Mupperum Vizha – Founder, Institute and Alumni Day on 9th March 2012.
- Mr R Balaji, MITAA President initiated the programme with his welcome address
- Dr. P. Mannar Jawahar Vice Chancellor, Anna University gave the Presidential address
- Dr. S. Thamarai Selvi, Dean-MIT presented the MIT Annual Report
- Mr. V. Balasubramanian of Founder’s family addressed the gathering
- Dr. Prema Srinivasan of the Founder’s family was honoured by AWIC for her contribution to Children’s Literature
- Mr. Mohan Subramaniam, of 28th batch, CEO-Total Plant Management Group, Texas was honoured as the Outstanding Alumnus
- Keynote address was delivered by Mr. L. Lakshman, Executive Chairman, Rane Holdings Ltd
- Mr. V. Sridhar Technical Consultant also addressed the gathering.
- Mr. T.M. Jawaharlal Patron, Mr. A. Satagopan Vice President-MITAA spoke on the occasion
- Mr. V. Mathiyazhagan Secretary-MITAA proposed a vote of thanks
